Hey!
I wanted more practice with problems..especially quantitative reasoning and physics..Some of my friends studying for the MCAT are using the Examkrackers 1001 questions and figured that might be good..has anyone used them?? I know they are good for MCAT..but would it help for the OAT too? I heard that the two exams somewhat test different things.

Right now Im taking the Kaplan online course and its great so far..I was just wondering what other materials I should get!

Thanks

My boyfriend is studying for his MCAT and I looked through his stuff and we've talked about test format, kinds of questions the MCAT/OAT ask respectively and it's different and I decided not to even look at his material (because I, too, was also considering it). I don't even think the MCAT has a quantitative reasoning section specifically (someone correct me if I'm wrong on this!). He also took some of my physics practice questions and said that it was way different than the MCAT physics questions because MCAT is much more vague in their questions/answers. Idk, it's kind of hard to explain. And I wouldn't even look at the reading comp either because the way they do it, they break it down into 200 word passages (small compared to ours) and they ask for alot more abstract things that you need to infer, make conclusions, etc. (not saying that the OAT doesn't ask for these types of questions either, but the type of "answer in the passage" are definitely fewer compared to the OAT).

As for other materials you can use, I'd get the Destroyer to just do problems and problems. I have it and it's really useful. It's supposed to be slightly harder than the actual, but you'll ace the real deal in the long run. GL and PM me if you have any more questions 🙂

Thanks so much for the advice! I was unsure about investing 160 dollars for the destroyer but I think its worth the investment. Almost everyone on this forum seems to agree that it is a good resource so it must definately be worth it.

My boyfriend is studying for the DAT...and we both want the destroyer...does anyone know how much different the DAT and OAT destroyer are from each other?
