Exception?

I was wondering if medical school make any exception for you to enter a post bach w/out having your BS? I have 4 credits left to graduate.. if accepted into a post bach.. do you think some school will make an exception or work something out at least?

Are you worried about the post bacc program? Or the medical schools? Although they don't advise it, medical schools have accepted students who haven't completed their baccalaureate degree (this is not the norm, though).

I don't know how post baccs work, but I would think all of them want you to have the degree, since those extra credits could help your GPA. I have no proof of this, though.

MediMama23, is correct. Rarely do med schools admit students who do not have a bachelors degree. In fact most schools encourage that one should finish with a bachelors before starting med school. Most physicians that i've talked to encourage students to do the same. Students that do get in without a bachelors degree are offered some special BS degree in biomedical sciences or something at certain schools. However it is my impression that those that do get in without a bachelors degree are usually exceptional students and had stats that met or exceeded the stats found on other applicants.

I am not too clear at what the OP is asking. Are you asking if the post-bacc program at a certain med school will let you in even if you don't have a bachelors degree? If that is the case then you should ask the specific school, and secondly, the term post-baccalaureate implies after your bachelors degree. At our med school (UC Davis), they specifically say that you need to complete an undergraduate degree or higher at an accredited university.

Why would you not have a bachelors degree with 4 units left to graduate? Thats like one class. I am very confused in regards to this thread. Please clarify.
