I am going to start a Master's in Exercise Science program in Jan 2008. My undergrad GPA is crap so one of the reasons for earning a Master's is degree inflation. And another reason is simply because I would definately enjoy the curriculum as my undergrad is in ex sci.
Areas of concern: I want to use the Master's to get into DPT school. However, it would be nice to know there is a real demand for Athletic trainers, and "Clinical Exercise Physiologists"..always hear about..never read about. FYI...I've worked as a personal trainer (AFAA) and fitness manager for a year now, and am interested in getting into either actual Athletic training or in a clinical setting-if DPT doesnt work out, and I always want to set or view as many options as possible. I will visit some area hospitals to find out their specific demands.
I've searched for info on this and related topics. The majority of info is from organizations promoting their own certifications. Albiet reputable sources, ACSM, ASEP, but nothing employment demand related.
Anyone know of other ways to find out more about this topic?
Thanks for your time and info
