Exo-Endothermic Rxn?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
1. Yes, if the reaction has a substantial increase in entropy.
2. Yes, it could be spontaneous depending on the magnitude of the enthalpy, temperature, and entropy change.

ie. If the forward reaction has large, positive enthalpy change and a small negative entropy change it would be non-spontaneous. The reverse reaction would have a large, negative enthalpy change and a small positive entropy change, which would make the Gibbs free energy change negative and the reaction spontaneous.
