Hey all, hope you're all enjoying the summer and not getting too stressed by these applications. Just had a quick question in regards to the application process.

I e-submitted in early June but landed a job as a dental assistant/front desk a week later. Of course, that is not included in my app as I did expect it. My question is in regards to how I would notify schools of this update...

Do I basically print out a word doc summarizing my experience and send it to each school individually (to the same address as the secondary fees)?

Thanks for the help. Best of luck to you all.

I was in a similar position in regards to a new scholarship. It is best to notify schools through a friendly email letting them know that you've landed a new job! Congratulation!

And did they respond to you to confirm it?

Some did, but some did not. At least you made an effort trying to notify them.

Every singe secondary that I received asked for "other information". I would just enter it there.

It would be a good talking point at an interview if they ask "so, tell me something about yourself that's not on your app". I am in the exact same boat as you and I plan on just mentioning it at interviews whenever i can.

Hi! Almost the exact same thing happened to me. I emailed all of the schools that I applied to that I got the job and how long I planned on working it. Almost all of the schools emailed me back saying that they'd attach my email update to my application for adcoms. You can wait and bring it up in interviews, or you can email them and try to write about it in supplementals. I chose to bring it up now because I thought it might help me get interviews, rather than hope I get an interview and then bring it up in the case that they ask the "tell me something that's not on your application" question. I hope this helps! Good luck!
