I currently have about 600 hours at a small animal clinic that does a lot of wildlife rehab, and a whole 6 hours of equine shadowing.
Originally, I was planning on using my summer to get some more varied experience, but I've been asked to cover my co-worker's maternity leave. So I'll be working my shifts, plus hers (6 days a week,) which will really boost my hours over the next few months, but doesn't really leave me time to go out and get other types of vet experience. Will this lack of variety hurt me? If I can only squeeze in a couple hours of different experiences here and there, will that be ok (like the 6 hours of equine,) or are those few hours so insignificant that they don't really matter?
