Anyone have hte Robbins Review book and use its questions?

My professors say they are hard questions. I've done a few of the first chapters and while I did not do as well as I wanted to, they are not particularly challenging questions.

Whats your take on them? Are they harder than Step 1?

First chapters are easy, the systems.chapters are more difficult. Not high yield enough to study for step 1 tho, I did these during the year as we went thru the systems. If u feel you need to brush up on basic path knowledge do the first few chapters, if not skip it. Do something else instead.

do you think doing uworld or kaplan qbank would be a lot better along with systems path?

I've gone through the book. I agree with the above poster that a few of the earlier chapters are much easier. With regard to the organ system chapters, the question-style/focus does not seem to be the highest yield, so I wouldn't worry about them if you haven't gotten to them already. However, the earlier chapters on some of the signalling pathway genes/proteins and oncogenesis are really good, as they have contained info that I have not seen in some other sources, and I can just feel that some of this stuff has shown up on people's Step1s as wtf-questions. In fact, I had been PMed about 2 months ago from someone on here who had told me about a wtf-question on his real exam, and I had encountered that same protein in the Robbin's questions that same day, as I had gone back through some of them for review. I took that as a blessing, really.
