I just finished my freshman year of college and am wanting to go into pharmacy. I am confused about how to go about getting experience that would look good on an application to pharmacy school. Is there only the possibility of becoming and working as a pharmacy technician? And if so must you take a program/class to get certified or do you just need to pass the test?

Depends on state. In cali, just study mosby pharm tech book for a few days and take ptcb test and apply for license. Go drop off resumes at cvs/walgreen/kaiser/etc... and wait for them to call you. Or you can go find independent pharmacies and ask them if they're looking for volunteers. It doesn't necessarily have to be pharmacy experience, anything in healthcare is fine.
