Does anyone know of a list of some sort? I'm having trouble actually finding where programs are. If anyone could list ones they know of that would be helpful too, especially if they are in Texas or the surrounding states. I'm just more looking for a list so I can research the programs and see if I have compatible research interests.

I'm applying to these as back-ups in case I don't get into clinical phD programs as I believe a masters would help my application. Also, I was wondering if you think that biopsych or neuropsych masters would be looked at as favorably as an applied experimental. I'm interested in the biological approach to psychology so I think I'm probably more likely to find compatible research interests and this would increase my chance of getting into a more geographically compatible program. Any suggestions of programs would be appreciated also.

Thanks in advance!

Oh, wow. I actually have an old version of that book... I don't know why I didn't think of it. Out of sight out of mind, I guess? Thanks for the help all the same, though.

If I were going to do a masters before PhD, I would consider a statistics/research methods masters program. that gives you a strong background to understanding and being able to competently use advanced statistics, something a lot of doctoral students struggle with. It can also help you think about how to proceed with different research projects from the start of your program. I spent a lot of time having to teach myself SEM and other techniques. Also, in retrospect, I could have handled certain research projects more efficiently had I had a stronger understanding of researach methodology and statistics the start of my doctoral program. Just a thought....
