dude, you gotta remember the "give saliva, save gas" pneumo for all the real fiber types of the branchial cranial nerves. the other cranial nervers are easy anyway.

V - save gas - SVE GSA
VII - save gas give saliva - SVE GSA GVE SVA
IX - save gas give saliva to godiva - SVE GSA GVE SVA GVA
X - save gas give saliva to godiva - SVE GSA GVE SVA GVA
XI - save geese (or only "save," depending on whether you consider the sternocleidomastoid and trapezius branchial-derived muscles or not) - SVE (and perhaps) GSE

this would be cool if this worked out, but according to Gray's Anatomy (2005 student edition) there is no SVE. So perhaps you mean pharyngeal motor/brachial motor (BE). This is how the textbook and my notes has it...

IX: GVA, SA, GVE, BE
X: GSA, SA, GVA, GVE, BE
XI: BE or GSE

gray's is crap. moore is the go-to for anatomy (i'd go with baby moore specifically), use netter's for an atlas.

and purves neuroscience 3rd. 2004, probably the best neuro text book out there, confirms what i said above. i don't know what the gray's ppl have been smoking... branchial motor has ALWAYS been classified as SVE! they're just trying to invent new lingo. there's no such thing as SSE, if that's what you mean to say.

well i checked BRS and it has what you say. but, my notes and gray's has it as i stated above... so looks like i will have to learn it the other way for the boards. awesome! 😱
