A little input please. I have two externships scheduled but will only be able to go to one for personal reasons. Any input on which is better (i.e. medical student experience, timing to get LOR in time for application, reputation, etc.) would be appreciated. University of Arizona in mid summer vs. Stanford in late Sept-early Oct.

go to Arizona.
1) Better program along with better reputation. In the bay area, Highland (not Stanford) is the more reputed program.
2) Better to do the rotation earlier to get the SLOR out.

Besides, the residents are super cool in Arizona. One of them who lives only a half mile from the hospital may even offer you a free place to stay.
