externships question

Hello all!
I have started thinking about where I would like to do my externship for my fourth year and I would love to be able to go to North Carolina. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience there and advice. By the way I am looking for a small animal practice, preferably a private practice.

Where in North Carolina are you looking to go? What kind of practice are you looking to spend time at a regular vet or a specialty clinic? I used to live in Raleigh and may be able to help you out.

I am looking to go somewhere in the Asheville area or even in Charlotte and in a regular vet clinic.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with clinics in those cities. Hopefully someone else will pipe up.
