Extra Upper Division Bio. Classes???

I'm planning on applying to several SMPs in the upcoming year, but unfortunately my GPA is a 2.7 and I only have a few more classes i can take at my undergrad college before i hit my unit max. i tried petitioning for more but they want me out, so is there any other way to take upper division bio courses at different universities to raise my gpa above a 3.0? If you experienced folk out there could lend a helping hand thatd be great. thanks!

definitely can take upper div biology courses at other scools and it will compute into your amcas gpa. i don't know where you're located but in california, most of the state school campuses (san francisco state is www.sfsu.edu) allow absolutely anyone to enroll through an extension/open university type system. and they offer various upper div bio courses. the other option could be online classes, berkeley offers some (learn.berkeley.edu). good luck!

you could always apply as a second degree candidate 😀 That is what I did!

I'm in LA, so basically if i go to like Cal State LA i can just enroll in some upper divs right just like that? sounds like a good deal to me..thanks for the info!

down in LA, your best bets are UCLA extension, csu long beach and csu fullerton.

I'm kinda in the same boat...but i'll be in philly...does anyone know any schools in philly that'll allow me to take some evening science courses? 🙂

max out on summer credits. they dont count towards this coming fall's unit cap.
