I have some questions regarding section A6 and A7 on the AADSAS form. A6 asks for "leadership & extracurricular activities" while A7 asks for "volunteer or community activities". Are these two supposed to be mutually exclusive?

It seems to me that volunteering at a hospital or dental clinic also counts as extracurricular activities but if I were to list those on A7, should I not mention them at all in A6?

Also there is A9 which asks for a more specific involvement in hospital/dental clinics. If I were to list those activities here, should I not mention them in A7?

I just need a little clarification, thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it too much, schools will not ask you about this type of thing. Just make sure you get all of the important stuff somewhere in your application, and mention it at your interviews....

I agree with Zurik, but as a sidenote, I would definately try to mention anything related to healthcare volunteering in the volunterring part. You might have done some volunteering because you liked doing that, so it was sort of a hobby or an extracurriular, but they don't care really, just list it with volunteering.

If you wanna be anal about it though, double list it, mentioning you already listed it in ECs for example. I wouldn't do that though....

best of luck...
