Im interested in going to optometry school and I just need some advice on extracurriculars. I recently shadowed an optometrist at the SUNY-CO, but it was for only 2 hours.. Do you all have advice on how to go about shadowing an optometrist who owns a business? Ive been calling around since dec 2011 but a lot of them said they don't "allow" shadowing..
And are students who have studied abroad and published their own scientific research given special consideration in admissions than those who have higher grades and OAT scores? I'm just really curious about that 🙂 Thanks
