I'm not an MD or OD, just have a question. A friend recently suffered an "eye concussion" and he said he was prescribed steroids as a treatment. A friend of his told him at work that he almost went blind using a steroid treatment for something else so now my friend doesn't want to use the treatment. I don't have details on his friend just want some advice if there is any. Any thoughts?

This isn't really the place for medical advice, which is what you are asking for, in an oblique way. The injured person should ask his doctor whether there are any dangers in the recommended treatment, or he should seek a qualified second opinion from a doctor who can examine him, unlike anyone reading and commenting here.
