I just got approved by the AAMC FAP. Is this a sign that if accepted to medical i can expect to see a lot of grants and need base scholarships?

No. Some schools will still give you nothing because you can cover attendance through loans. Some schools could give you grants and scholarships, but you would have to meet their requirements. I suggest contacting schools and finding out their policies before applying.
