I heard FA was especially useful for Pharm, so I was considering picking up a copy a little early (I'm beginning MS II) hoping that it would help organize an overwhelming subject. I glanced through the errata page on the forums for the 2006 FA and was astounded by the amount of errors (although I realize some are being disputed as not actual errors).

The question I wish to pose, is this: Is it worth waiting 'til November (or whenever) to get the new version of FA, in hopes that it will have less errors and have meaningful improvements in content over the 2006, or should I just buy the 2006 now? Any helpful comments would be....helpful.

you can do both w/o spending much extra money by getting the 06 version off a third year who just took the boards....I'm sure they'll be more then happy to get rid of it...

I'm in the same boat as you Bill Brasky. 2007 doesn't come out until mid-December, but I've decided to wait because of the errors in 2006. I'd love to have it to annotate. My school has a systems-based curriculum with all of the cardio drugs AND antibiotics this Fall.

I'm interested in this too. Should I buy FA early (2006 ed) so I can use it with my classes or wait until dec and get the 2007. Is there really much of a difference from year to year? Thanks!

Well I made an impulse buy today and bought FA 06. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't on errata I suppose, since 07 will probably have just as many errors.

Does anyone else have any input on this? Or on the difference between editions in general (even further back than 2006)?

Thanks in advance!

im also starting to think that waiting for the new edition this year may be a better idea this year then in previous years.....they just switched to a systems based approach for 06 and I'm assuming will have many of the kinks worked out for the new version...
