Is there a difference between these two books? I'd like to buy one of them, but I'm not sure which one is better for shelf exams/Step 2 prep.
Any help is appreciated!

Did anyone actually use either of these 2 books?

I just ordered them both... Some users here really talk about how good Boards and Wards is so I bought that today... a few days ago I got FA just out of habit... in hindsight that was probably a mistake but who knows.

The third year booklist has a ton of info on what people liked for various subjects.

I used FA for the Wards during 3rd year. I would read each section the weekend before I started each rotation; It was good to ease my nerves, but I rarely remembered any of it when I needed it. I am starting my step 2 CK studies tomorrow and will be using FA for Step 2 CK. I've heard it's great. I'll let you know.

I've heard good things about Crush Step 2, but I haven't actually looked into it yet...

I used both. First Aid for the Wards helped me get oriented for clinical rotations. I would read the section on each rotation before each rotation started. And First Aid for Step 2 CK was a major tool I used to study for Step 2.
