What is the conventional wisdom amongst applicants for Radiation Oncology applications?

Deactivate Facebook? Max privacy settings?

I've heard from deans that they've "talked with others who do use Facebook for screening," but this is purely anecdotal. What have the last couple years of applicants been doing?

Most everyone last year either deactivated, went to maximum privacy (so nothing visible except to self and couldn't be searched), or just changed their name so they couldn't be searched using their real name (spelled it out phonetically, made up a new last name, etc). I would guess most did the last - just changed their name.

And just to cover themselves on top of that, some people scrubbed their posts by de-tagging or removing questionable pictures, posts, or likes.
