I'm struggling with this secondary. I could really use advice on picking how to answer the question : Describe a challenge you’ve faced and the steps you took to overcome it. Please let me know what you guys think of these two options please!

1. Presenting my research project to over a 100 people at my first research symposium. I was super nervous about it and did not have communication skills when it came to articulating my thoughts on scientific evidence. I sought out the help of my peers in the lab and PI to practice over and over, watched a bunch of TED talks on cimmunication and when it came to the day I was totally stress-free about it and revieved praise at the end. Taught me to focus on my weaknesses head on to overcome them.

2. When I came to college, I built an unhealthy relationship with food. I became pretty overweight (almost 50 pounds over what the average should be) in a very short amount of time. It affected my mental health and studying in huge way. I become hugely involved in fitness and nutrition. fast forward to today where I write a fitness blog, building a fitness platform on social media, and spreading the message of a healthy lifestyle as a link to treating preventable disease +increasing mental focus and health.

This is just a really brief idea of what I was thinking for each idea. I could use any advice you have for me!

I'm not the most seasoned secondary writer but I really like both of those examples as a potential response to the prompt.
