Hi, I posted this question in pre-allo but didn't get many responses. I am applying this year to med school and don't know where (or if) I will be attending school in the fall. Should I go ahead and fill out a FAFSA and designate the schools I have interviews at, before I know if I'm accepted or not? Should I also designate schools I am waiting to hear from? I'm afraid this will look presumptious, but I don't want to wait and then find out by the time I get in that I'm too late to apply for aid. How have/are people in this position handling the FAFSA? 😕

yeah, put all the schools you think you will get into

you can always submit a fafsa correction later

It's not presumptuous. The admissions office probably won't even notice that you've listed the school on your FAFSA list. If they do notice, they won't care since plenty of people do that.

Also, you can always file a correction.

I wouldn't worry too much -- most schools have a deadline of early March.

Some schools encourage this. Some dont though. I looked through the schools ive interviewed at. WashU for instance doesnt want estimated tax info.
