Hello everyone! At some of my interviews, a financial aid officer gave a presentation where he or she told us to do the FAFSA which was due October 1st. I guess it includes information from the 2014-2015 school year? Has anyone done this yet? And you didn't have to put in any new information, right? It's all just saved, yes?

It opened in October, it's not due until Aprilish, but it's better to complete it sooner rather than later.

Would there be a difference between doing it now and December?
I don't think so. I'm not going to complete it until December, when I hopefully know which school I will be attending. Financial aid advisors have said that you can complete it without designating a school and then returning later to fill that in... but I would rather just wait.

For undergrad I would usually submit FAFSA in February and that was considered to be early.

They apparently changed it this year according to UNLV, before it wasn't "due" until January. I suggest doing it as soon as possible anyways!

I was there Friday for my interview, which is why I ask. But then I called another dental school, and they said not to worry about it until you're accepted into their program...

question guys, do we fill out the same application we used for college? I am looking at the fafsa.edu.gov website and it indicates for students going to college. a bit confused. is there anywhere we can indicate that we are applying for dental school? Thanks!

Yeah it's basically the same form. You just select the school. For example for BU dental, just select Boston university. If you have any doubt, email the financial ad people at your dental school for the school code.
