Due to no good reasons, I failed 3 semesters of my undergrad between my sophomore and junior years. I'm on track to graduate with a ~3.2 overall, and got into a top biostats MS program. Do I still have a shot at MD if I nail a good GPA in MS?

Yes. Assuming all else is in order (ECs, volunteering) you need to show that you can make up for past mistakes. Do well in the MS program and, if you haven't already, nail the MCAT. Good luck!

A masters degree will be helpful, but it isn't going to do anything for your undergraduate AMCAS GPAs, which is what adcoms are looking at the most. I think a post bacc should be considered. You can do this informally by taking classes at local universities. Keep in mind that you need to be in a degree granting program (I believe), to be eligible for federal financial aid, so it might make sense to pursue a second bachelor's degree and drop out when you've had enough.

Do you have three semesters of withdrawals or of F's? Just trying to figure out how the math adds up to a 3.2

IF you can ace this program and rock the MCAT (>36).

Dear god, you failed THREE SEMESTERS and you want to go to medical school. You might as well be a one-handed surgeon.

Sure, it's possible, just don't forget you have to invent your own prosthesis.

I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines. 🙂

How do 3 failed semesters get you a 3.2? I know friends who have never gotten below a C with a sub 3.0 GPA.

I think your GPA is on the low side, but I think that if you obtain good grades in a special masters program then perhaps you can make it into an MD school.

Because over here failing means getting a GPA under 4.0.

OP could be talking about the gpa on schools transcript, some undergrads dont count a retake

I would hardly equate failing three semesters with 'a GPA under 4.0.' Certainly the latter encompasses the former but I would hardly call failing three semesters a minor event, as it were.

The point of my hyperbole was that people don't mean "F" by failing. I've seen people here with a 3.6 saying they failed their pre-med career.

If that is the case then right on -- duly noted. ;p

edit: I also wonder how OP can have a 3.2 with 3 failed semesters. OP claimed to be a sophomore last year at this time, so this makes no sense. Maybe OP means 3 classes?
