  1. Veterinary Student
I found out that I failed one of my core-modules so I have to wait until next Semester to resit it. Has this happened to anyone else? I have a meeting with the Dean next week and I know where I went wrong but it's been quite disheartening as I had studied so much for it. I have one year to go until I graduate so I feel sick that it's going to take me longer now.

hey, i feel your pain. i am a vet student in the UK but from the US and just found out i have to resit a year. i'm not sure how it works in the US but here you have 2 chances at an exam. if you fail the second, you have to resit the exam + or - the actual course you failed. this means i can't start up my fourth year until next sept. i find this really harsh as i only failed by 2 points and now i'm just hanging around waiting to resit an exam in dec, then have off till next sept! seems like a waste of time. how does it work in US vet schools? do you have to wait a year to continue on?
try not to be too hard on yourself (although i understand the feeling!) vet school is not an easy thing and you should be proud that you are getting through the classes!
