Hi everyone,
I am an img, graduated in 2016 and i received my score report this august 15, 2018 and failed sep component badly. Let me tell my story why i failed
Step 1: 253
Step 2: 266
Firstly there were rumors in our home country that cs is not a difficult exam and every one passes it. So i studied very little for cs exam about 10 days in total.
Second travelling from opposite part of the world i was jet lagged and felt unwell for the days before the exam so i couldn't practice well even in those 10 days.
Didn't have proper idea about the exam patterns. If you are an img you should have all idea about components of exam and how it is graded. Similarly you should be very careful with writing patient notes in good format. And typing speed is also very important. My typing speed was slow and i could not document many findings in the patient note. Even i passed my ice section i had stars in boarder line area.
Didn't realize before exam that sep component was so important, i thought my english was ok but i failed sep badly. If i had realized it before i would have practiced a lot before giving the exam.
Now planning to retake the exam in 2 months and planning to ace the exam this time.
Btw do you think i have chances for residency after a failure, honest opinions please.
