I'm taking a pretty full course load this up coming year, and I'd have to use a summer session to complete my unit requirement for a bachelors degree. So I'm wondering, if on the application I select "degree expected," but by next fall, I do not complete my degree.. what will happen? If I was accepted somewhere, would they withdraw that acceptance? Thanks.

Your acceptance is usually contingent upon completion of a degree. If you were accpeted for the fall of next year but fail to complete your degree, then I think the school has the right to rescind your acceptance.

In case you want a second opinion...I agree.

i agree

Thanks for your respones! Should I even put "expecting degree"? I am applying right now as a sophomore. I'm trying to finish my degree in three years... soo its really iffy weather or not I will compelte all my coursework by the end of this third year. Would it better not to put anything, in this case? That way, if they do accept me w/o a degree, it'd be a better suprise if i actually got one?!

Well if you want to hear it from a person that did that here you go. When I applied I put down that I would have my degree in the spring of the following year, once I got accepted in Dec. I called the school and they told me that they don't care if I finish as long as I take all of the required prerequisites, so I took a couple of classes that I felt would help me out more in dental school rather than finishing a bachelors, I am going to recieve it now that I finished a year of Dental school by transfering my credits back to my undergraduate. So there you go, take it or leave it. Most schools don't care, crontrary to popular belief, but some do, you will just have to wait and see. If it comes down to something in question, always make it appear to your advantage, ask for forgiveness later if it gets a little hairy.
