1. Any thoughts on the Falcon Review online course for step 2?

2. Did anyone do/like the new online Microbiology material?

3. How about their online EKG lectures? Also, do they send you a book for that or is it entirely online?

...just trying to sift through the selection of review material...

I am curious how online Falcon review compares to online DIT? I would like to do an online review course for Step3.

The falcon review course is designed for either international students or for students who have previously done poorly/failed the exam. If you are very likely to pass the exam going in then I would not recommend such a course.

DIT is much more a review course and is shorter. I used it for step 2 and it worked well. Definitely kept me motivated but didn't make me study for too long (less than 3 weeks.)

Im considering doing Falcon. I feel like I need a better understanding of the concepts going into the exam. I wish they had a sample video for step 2.

Last I heard, one had to travel to the Texas area to do the falcon review. Now it seems they have online course material 99w2doc says you can do it online. Does that mean you do not have to travel to the review center in TX to do it?

I had access to all of the Step 2 videos and watched a few minutes of some of them. I wasn't very impressed at all. Kaplan vids are 100x better. Kaplan Live is 5-10x better than the videos, imo, because you WILL get through 8 hours of material each class day and it's much more engaging. Plus, Dr. Fischer is crazy 🙂

I like Dr Fischer a lot. I had videos with him; probably most recently 2006. I did not have the money to do a Kaplan Live course. I should have. But I took a gamble and used audio that went with Kaplan review books from say 2005. I used podcasts this time. Quick hits from studywithsubstancep.com, medpod101.com, mcmumbi reading crush, and appolo audiobooks. I resorted to audio for this test because I was desperate for another exam strategy. All my life I have sat through Kaplan review course and spent tons of money. I ran out of money and had to find another way to go forward. Podcasts was my solution. Not sure if it worked yet.

I have the books to step 2 CK. Does anyone have any idea where I could sell them?
They are from 2009/2010

Kaplan = Godly.

Falcon = why bother? (aka I have no experience with them)

DIT = Gives you structure only; good if you need motivation

Kaplan = Godly. More for augmentation than passing (i.e. you spend a lot of time learning a lot of things you WONT see on the test so you can learn everything you WILL see on the test, as there is no way of predicting what will be on the test). Best if used with a review book that keeps you focused on the things you are guarenteed to see (First Aid, Step Up, not MTB, since its just more Kaplan).
