Once you've applied to a pharm school, what impact do the grades that you recieve after the application process have on the admission's committee's review of your application? I've maintained a 3.6/4 GPA at my main university and a 4.0/4 at a community college where i take other courses simultaneousley up to this point. Unfortunately my perforance this semester is not up to par and i am almost certain that the 3.6/4 will reduce to approximately 3.3 or 3.4/4...what impact will this have on the decisions made by the admissions committee (specifically for Midwestern University CCP in Downers Grove, IL).....

I am banking on my GPA (the old one that is...3.6/4.0 and the 4.00/4.00) b/c my pcat scores were horrible......73rd percentile......

it seems more and more likely that i'm becoming less and less competative.....and i want to get into pharm school for fall 2005 sooooo bad.....by that time i'll have completed my pre-req's and will have basically nothing left to take at University of Illinois at Chicago.....so even if i attended.....my money would go to waste (i'd have to do two more years and walk with a degree....BUT I DO NOT WANT TO DO THAT.....IT SEEMS LIKE A WASTE OF TIME FOR ME BEING A 2-YEAR PRE-PHARM MAJOR and being able to finish it all in 2 years and not get in.....

with these stats....am i competative enough to get into MWU??? thats really the only place i really really want to go....

the cards are just being stacked against me in this i guess......and its not a good feeling.....

--thanks

I think you're still competive. Don't worry too much about that. However don't think it's a waste of time to go two more years.
