I have applied for the 2012 Fall Flex Doctor of PT program at University of St. Augustine. I have not heard back yet if I have an interview yet. I am hoping to hear this week because from previous posts it looks like they interview the end of Feb/Beg of March.

I want to prepare just in case. What questions did they ask? What should I expect? What essay questions do they typically ask?
What do people wear to the interview? Any feedback would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nicollette

I just had my interview for the full time DPT program last week and searched this forum for interview questions. A post by 'Shugo' on the link below is what I used to prep and really helped.

I did get an interviewer(faculty) ask "if you had 30 seconds to describe PT what would you say?". Also, its good to know about PT hot topics (POPTS, Health Reform Acts, etc) since you never know if your interviewer will ask you about that, mine did. And my essay question was "what skills/traits have you observed from your PT observations that are important for PT/client interaction?" (I re-phrased from the original question, but it was something to that effect). They want you to discuss the traits necessary to work in diverse cultures and backgrounds. You get 40 min to write the essay and it goes fast!

Dress professionally, most of us were wearing suits (both male & female). Professionalism is very important to USA. It wasn't bad...I was nervous right in the beginning of the interview but everyone is so nice and friendly that the nervousness goes away real quickly. Good luck on your interview!!
