Definitely not. Adcoms look closely at the trend of your grades over college. It's ok to not do well one semester as long as you pull it together and bring your grades up next semester. You're a freshman and still have plenty of time to show you can kick a#%. As far as studying goes, I think it good to study every day. Lightly preview the next day's material and go over what you covered that day in detail. It really doesn't take that long once you get in the habit.
