Hi guys, a few quick questions for the next 3 years of my life. When does a resident actually become eligible to take the FM board exams? When are we allowed to moonlight? And finally, at what point do most residents start interviewing for jobs?

Thanks.

Boards: After you finish an accredited residency and have a license
Moonlight: After you get your license, which for most states, means you need Step 1, 2, and 3 and maybe 0, 1, 2, or 3 years of residency.
Jobs: Most start thinking in 1st year, talking in 2nd year, start looking seriously in 3rd year, and interview in late Fall through early Spring. But everyone is different.

Thank you. That's what I thought, but wasn't sure.
