FAP question

Hey guys,

I'm applying for FAP, but it seems to need my parents' tax info. I'm independent, so why do I need their tax info? Is there anyway around this? The only option I see so far is to say they are dead, which isn't true. Thanks.

I applied for FAP for this cycle (2003) and I got it. I just made it a big deal to send it in early with ALL of the documentation they asked for, including my parent's tax information. I sent it in and got the assistance.
