I submitted FAP 1.5 months ago but still haven't heard anything yet. Is it normal? or Why does it take so long? How should I contact them?

I've just come back and see its status is "Submitted & On Hold." What does it mean?

On hold means that you've passed the basic formulaic check for eligibility. But you need to provide supporting documentation to be considered for approval. Did you submit the required documents? If you haven't, do it ASAP. If you have, call AAMC during business hours and ask if there is an issue.
