it's in the msar. schools i know that don't accept it are NYMC and loma linda-unless you have some crazy circumstance or something

nearly all schools accept the FAP for a feewaiver. since the prevoius poster said NYMC and loma linda don't i'll take his word, but i've researched a few schools that MSAR says doesnt accept FAP fee waiver that actually do. In fact, all 40 or so of the schools i had on my original application list do accept it (has since been shortened, but ya know..)

i was wondering, is it viewed upon negatively to use fap to waive all the secondary fees? for instance, would it count against you because the schools might think you would have trouble paying their tuition, would need to take out more loans, etc etc? any advice?

Here is another question about the secondary fee waiver-- if you apply to more than twelve schools and thus had to pay the $30 application fee for schools above 12, will they still waive your secondary fee?

yes, im fairly certain they still will. schools don't know how many schools you have applied to right? so for each secondary you will be covered. and as for the above post about schools looking negatively on using a fee waiver, i do not think that is the case at all. if the adcom even is aware that you used a fee waiver to pay for the secondary fee (which i bet at some/most schools isn't even the case, paid is paid and adcoms don't deal with payments), from what i've heard they will look at it in a positive light, knowing that a fap applicant has survived hardships to become a competive applicant and will work even harder to make sure they make it to the end of the road successfully. then again, im not sure on that, but i'm pretty sure it cannot (or at least should not) hurt you at all.
