For those schools that notify via snail mail:
Are med schools like undergrad whee they send a fat package if you are accepted and thin letter if rejected?
Or, do they just send a thin congratulatory or rejection notice in either case?

i think thin envelope. you already got school packets during the interview and financial aid offers arent made yet unlike college decisions in march

If I am fortunate enough to get an acceptance, I think it will be fun to nervously open a letter and learn my fate. It'll be like a movie or something.

thatd be pretty sick if you get a fat envelope with a old tape player in it. and then you press play and it says, "hello brooklynblunder, wanna play a game?... for the last few months, you have wasted people's time on student doctor network making irrelevant posts. you got to tour anatomy labs and watch students do dissections..."

and then you like wake up the next day lying in a gross anatomy lab at like some weird dungeon med school or nymc and the students are dissecting you but you are still conscious but can't move or speak.

thatd be a pretty good SAW scenario. I've always wondered though, if jigsaw decided to use ipods/itouch instead of old tape recorders/players, what kind of feeling i would have upon getting that message. cuz you just got like a free ipod and thats a pretty slick deal.

if i get accepted i'm definitely going to eastern europe searching for crazy hostels

Probably varries by school. My school sent out a single page acceptance letter. I think they actually warned us on interview day not to just automatically throw it out.

wow this thought hadn't even crossed my mind 😱 good to know that thin letter doesn't necessarily mean rejection though! GL to everyone who is waiting on news this coming week!!
