Just as the title states.

What is your favorite bone in the foot?? Mine are the Calcaneus and the Talus bones. (Third types are the cuneiforms {medial, intermediate and lateral}).

Hmm, I like the cuneiforms (all amazing 3), the cuboid, the navicular, the talus, and last but not least the calcaneus. haha. Oh yeah, I like em all

If I had to pick one, I'd say the calcaneus.

I'd go with the 1st metatarsal.
Our LEA teacher told us that bone, a vestigal phalanx, is going to put our kids through college someday. It's true. 1st MPJ is basically the root of all evil that affects the forefoot (gout, hallux valgus, hallux rigidus, turf toe, etc etc etc).

What, no one likes the navicular?!?!?!

You know it has to be a digit

Got that RIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!! But which digits? Mine ? Hahaha 😉 😉 jp jp.
Sure I like the phalanges of the upper appendicular bones; but the lower digits (phalanx) takes it home.

😉

Btw, Congrats to getting in to LECOM!!

Great school; and its like 30 mins north of my alma mater...

Oh really?? Interesting..

You know I was talking to a PhD student in Evolutionary Anthropology and she stated that from the trends in osseous tissue evolution, the pinky toe will eventually disappear. What say you, good sir?

I would like to cut mine off along with the 5th met. I guess a 5th ray ressection would be nice and then tack the peroneus brevis on to my cuboid. I think that would solve all my shoe fit problems. My tailors bunions are larger than most peoples bunions.

osseus up to the tibial tuberosity, soft tissue up to the hip...oops

Come on prontatin and equinus are the roots of all evil including all biker gangs in the US and Canada.

It's got to be the talus.

It's the Universal joint that connect the foot to the leg.
Also the only one with no muscular attachments. All the motion of the talus comes through external forces. Pretty cool.

I agree with efs. Got to love the talus.

I broke my talus...not too fond of it; still gives me a lot of grief!:meanie:
