Fears with contact phone numbers?

Hey guys....question for you

I shadowed at an equine clinic a few months ago, and I'm entering the clinic's phone number, but I'm just a touch worried about it.....I was there, I did the hours, but I was with one (of 5) drs and his tech the whole time, barely spending any time at the actual clinic, and I'm a touch worried about them validating my hours, just because they frequently have students, and I worry about them remembering me, and how much time I was there!!

Anyone else have fears/worries like this, or have you run into problems with something like this?

Get in touch with the doctor you actually worked with and ask if you can list their personal contact info..

FWIW- not a single person/ clinic/ experience of mine was contacted during the app process.

Not one of the few places for which I provided contact information was actually contacted.... And that was probably only the most recent 2 or 3 experiences.

I think there is one school I know of that actually does contact references- Georgia. Just based on some posts here. I never had any of mine contacted.

Yes, Georgia basically interviews your references. A DVM I worked with (and who wrote one of my LORs) told me he was called and they talked about me a bunch. I expected that from them.

Though, one that did surprise me, a professor who wrote one of my LORs told me that K-State contacted him and was asking about me.

Especially if you're just giving the clinic info as part of listing your experience I wouldn't worry about it; as someone else said just get a hold of that doctor if you can and tell them what's going on. As far as I know none of my experiences (clinics, zoo, lab, etc) were ever contacted to verify the truth of my claim.
