My family was on food snaps when I was younger (baby) but I do not remember this. I also have been on medicaid all my life. Do I check this box on AMCAS (about federal and state assistance) even if I won't be applying as disadvantaged? I never even noticed my family was struggling/on public aid until I was older since we live in a fairly middle-class area and my parents never showed their struggles to us as children.
