Hi guys,

I was slightly above the income cutoff for the AMCAS fee waiver. Does any one have any experience with getting a fee waiver for secondaries as a result of contacting the schools separately to see if they will wave the fee or do they generally only give the waivers to those who were accepted for amcas fee waiver

There are only a few schools that offer a fee waiver for secondaries to those who request directly to the school. It is possible for some schools, but uncommon for other schools.

I know some schools (ex: Pritzker) who let people ask for a fee waiver even though they were denied by FAP. How often they actually grant it, I have no idea

Did you still apply for FAP? I thought I was slightly above the level or at least right on it, but apparently I wasn't because they approved it within a day of receiving everything. I suggest still sending in the papers.

What's the worst that could happen?
