Hello everyone,
I'd like some feedback from you all. I am a graduate of dental school in India after which I went on to get my advanced standing DMD degree from Tufts and now I'm currently in a 6 year DMD/MD OMFS residency program. Over the past few years I've been thinking of establishing a training facility for the advanced standing DMD admission. I had a VERY difficult experience navigating the process when I went through it, and I found the existing bench classes/interview prep material at the time to be very rushed, expensive, and frankly exploitative. I've noticed that many universities have set up such courses since I finished, though I don't know if they are as frustrating as the programs that existed when I was interviewing a few years ago.
My vision at this time is to establish a center with classes taught by advanced standing or regular track DDS/DMD graduates and students. The facility and package would include everything needed (all materials) in addition to living accommodations. I want it to be an honest, informative place that is affordable and realistic for international students.
Please provide any thoughts/recommendations. Do you think there is any value in establishing such a program given the number that currently exist? How long would you like the classes to be? What cost? Interview prep? Any other aspects you'd desire in a course?
My aim is to have it up and running by the Fall
Any feedback of any sort is highly appreciated, feel free to DM me or post on this thread.
I will provide free prep materials to anyone who can provide some insight!!
Thanks!!
