I am planning on taking the DAT at the end of this summer (mid Sept.)...so I have about 2 1/2 months to study for it. I need to do well, since my GPA is around a 3.0, but I am not applying until next summer.

I just glanced through Kaplan's blue book and typed out all of the titles and subtitles into an outline, and I feel a bit overwhelmed at this point. I am taking a Kaplan course that starts next week, but I am not sure that I will have enough time to be ready. Is this feeling normal? Did you guys feel like this when you first started studying for the DAT? Thanks!

definitely manage your time and plan out what you want to do on week 1, week 2 etc. stick to your plan, and be organized. 2.5 months is plenty of time to get everything down (i basically read through a good portion of my bio, chem and orgo books when i studied) and the key is to practice practice practice (especially the PAT section). It really isn't that bad IMO. Also, you won't be applying until next year so even if you don't do that well this time, there's always a chance to retake it. Relax, pace yourself, and don't over stress. That was my attitude when I took it, and I was very very happy with my score.

Thanks! That helped quite a bit.

I used kaplan too but it was not good enough to do better than ok, especially for bio. so I would add some other materials too.
