Just wondering if any of the attendings on this forum or residents are using fiberoptic endoscopic swallow eval? From what i read in braddom, it also provides real time info, you can use real food, no radiation and apparently well tolerated.

My program faculty apparently haven't even heard of it.

Just wondering how prevalent it is in the real world and if I should approach my program director about possibly incorporating it into our education.

We just recently started doing our own urodynamics, so i would think this might be a welcomed addition to the program training.

We had our speech therapists doing these when we were consulted for inpatient rehab disposition. The ENT folks got a little pissy, but the turf war never materialized. Useful tool, I'm sure it also made good money for the SLP department and the hospital.
