Filling out Pre req on secondaries

Hey everyone, I have a question about filling out Pre req courses on secondaries.l For bio, can you list for example physiology or neurobio instead of the basic beginning bio courses. The reason being is I did well in upper division biology courses and only alright in the lower core bio classes. I aced upper divs and got some B+s and an A- in the lower divisions.

I think it will depend on whether or not you took those lower level classes. For instance, I took an accelerated version of intro Bio 1 & 2 that only lasted a single semester, so I have to list physiology as the second biology semester. If you've taken the introductory classes and got decent grades in them, why not just list them? The schools are going to be able to see your entire transcript anyway. Worst case scenario is you list upper level classes for pre-reqs and it looks like you are trying to hide your (still reasonable) performance in the lower division classes.

If you do decide to try to list upper division classes, you should really find out from each individual school. I'm sure some would like to see advanced classes, but I think most have some very specific ideas of what they're looking for.
