I am a very curious cat and want to make an AADSAS account just to see what it's like. Will that affect me next year when I actually apply for real? Does all the info get erased?

No clue, but its nothing special. Just a basic resume service.

Being proactive is the way to be! I did the same thing last year. Its pretty helpful to get familiar with the AADSAS app before actually filling it out. I filled out a "practice" app and saved everything on a word doc for this year. So when the real app came around, I copy and pasted, adjusted and was done much more quickly than if I had to come up with everything on the spot. It didn't affect my app at all this year since the old app became inactive about a month before this years app was opened.

Will it affect you if you fill out everything and register for a DENTPIN and then do not submit the application? Last year you could just click register and start filling out.

go for it, I did it last summer! You'll be so glad you did about one month before the app cycle begins

It should not affect anything. I took my DAT a year before I applied so they gave me a DENTPIN then. I just registered an account with AADSAS and filled out a practice app without ever hitting submit. No harm done but good practice

you can fill everything out and you can even click submit(but once you click submit then for this application cycle(2010-2011) you would not be able to change any data)... its not gonna be saved for next year. Every year the application starts out clean no data will ever be saved.
Even re-applicants have to reenter everything.

yeah its a great idea to see how the app looks like and being prepared ahead of time for PS, some questions, etc...

you can even choose schools as long as you dont pay they wont send any of your materials out.
