Hi all,
needed some help. This is my finalized list but wanted more eyes on it to make sure I have enough that I could feasibly get into. I posted earlier but wanted to show my final list with updated stats.
MCAT: 513 (130/129/126/128), cGPA: 3.913, sGPA: 3.82
500 hrs research, one publication currently finalizing review, second author
70 hours shadowing (varying specialties), ED scribe 200 hours (500+ planned this year), 120 hours clinical volunteering. Would've had a lot more ED experience if COVID didn't show up and furlough us
founder/pres of service org (500 hours), work with underprivileged students (710 hours), math tutoring during pandemic (30 hours), altogether 1240 nonclinical service hours
Calculus TA, 375 hours across four semesters
president of med student org (AMSA) and member of student government for all four years.
Virginia resident, T5 public school
red flag: Yet to take biochemistry due to scheduling and poor enrollment times. Plan to take in spring of my senior year prior to matriculation and indicated on primary
Here is the final list:
Albany
Albert Einstein
Rosalind
Hofstra
Drexel
EVMS
Dartmouth
GW
Georgetown
Keck USC (quadruple legacy to their undergrad)
Temple
Penn State
TCU
Tufts
Miami
Rochester
UVA (alma mater)
VCU
Wake Forest
WVU
W. Michigan Stryker
Thomas Jefferson
Loyola Chicago
Seton Hall (Catholic)
Need brutally honest answers. The only thing that makes me nervous is the MCAT, can't separate from the pack. Been feverishly prewriting secondaries and am looking to be verified 7/13.
