Strong DAT score. Congratulations. The gpa is low. I think you have a very good shot at multiple acceptances, though, because you did so well on the DAT. It's a solid list of schools. Make sure to prep for the interviews when you get them using the interview prep material on SDN. It's just a lot of old questions from past interview cycles, and I found that they recycle them. Best of luck.

Don't bother with Virginia Commonwealth and UPenn. But yes, add USC to your list.

VCU b/c OOS%? Do you know the actaul % and if they have regional agreements or anything?
UPenn b/c my low GPA?

USC - do you know if they still have many problems?

Most likely definites:

  1. UMDNJ (NJ resident)
  2. Boston-only if youve taken their prereq at a CC
  3. Tufts-same as BU for Community college credits
  4. Temple
  5. Howard-DONT apply here unless you have over 400 service hrs. Mostly for minorities. Asians have a really small chance to get in look at past year school stats. Save your $$$ and spend it on another private school
  6. Columbia
  7. LECOM

KEMCHO?! lol
For the awards section you know you can also put down exclusive honor org. My advice is remove the ones in red. Look into all of the private schools with your DATs you have a good shot! Other than that GREAT DATs

lol kemcho n thanks for the response

  • Boston & Tufts - wait what? i didnt go to a community college, so that doesn't apply to me right?
  • Howard - I heard theres a good amount of Asians there, but mostly oriental asians and not many Indians. I also know some Egyptian kids that got in, but I think they might have put African on their apps lol I think I'm just gunna give it a shot
  • VCU - 35/90 is OOS according to their website...are there regional agreements or something too though?
  • why not Nevada?
  • what do you mean by "exclusive honor org?"

  • Boston & Tufts - wait what? i didnt go to a community college, so that doesn't apply to me right? If you havent taken their prereqs at a community college that doesnt apply to you. So leave those schools on there actually.

  • VCU - 35/90 is OOS according to their website...are there regional agreements or something too though? oops i thought i had put that down for nevada. Never mind that highlight and side note. It was meant for nevada. Typooo
  • why not Nevada? From previous messages, ive heard they accept mostly instaters
  • what do you mean by "exclusive honor org?" like say you are in an honor org that only accepts those with a certain GPA and other requirements (in other words not every person can get into the honor org)

Hope this helps!

oo ok thanks..i may just leave out VCU and add USC ...Nevada- I read and heard they accept a decent amount of out of staters

exclusive honor orgs - oooh so things like Tribeta Biological Honor Society qualifies? its not an award, but does require a minimum GPA

According to ADEA 2011 Nevada only accepted 38%.I guess thats fair. Its up to you.

Yes that could count as as an award.

Check UNLVs represented states though. It's a whole lot of western states. Then again, I'm not sure how many applications they get from outside that area.
