So, yeah, I am done with this 2 and half months study for DAT.
Here are my scores;

PAT 20
QR 18
RC 15 🙁
BIO 21
GC 29 🙂
OC 22

TS 23
AA 21

I am satisfied with my scores except RC!!!
PAT-in my opinion, it was hard. Just a bit esier than achiever but definitely harder than topscore. Angle ranking was difficult! Maybe half of the questions.
RC- I ran out of time and totallly freaked out! Well, part of the reason for this score is English is not my first language.
Passages were about calcium, aging, and something else I dont even remember 😴

BIO-I really thought I would score lower than 20. I feel like so stupid because I spent so much time memorizing protista, fungi(ascomicota, basidiomicota, etc) or plant crap and none of them was on the test. 🙁
Questions were mostly about origin of life.
( That's as far as I can classfy the questions...they weren't even on Schum's.)
I did a research on SDN about questions asked on the DAT. Unfortunatelly,
I only had sea uchin one.
I used Schum, Kaplan, and Campbell. I like Campbell more than Schum because vidually it explains the material better.Easy to understand.
I went over Kaplan book 3 times cover to cover.

GC- I have no idea how I got 100 percentile on thie section!
This is one of my weakest subject..But the real test was easier than any practice exam. So dont worry! Go over Kaplan and do practice exams as much as u can.

OC- My major in chemistry all started from Ochem. I had a great proffessor and used the textbook written by her which explains clearly how reactions occur. So I didnot study so much for OChem but went over Kaplan flashcards and practice exams. Kaplan does not explain reactions.

QR: After I freaked out on RC, it was a bit hard for me to concentrate on QR..but I started to calm down after I unhooked my bra 😛
They had the mixture of difficult and easy questions. I had mostly calculation questions. Sometimes I had to think 2 or 3 times to get answers in calculations cos they were a little tricky. And of course there were 2-3 trig questions.

Just for reference, my score range in
Topscore
BIO 16-20
GC 16-18
OC 19-21
QR 15-20
RC 18-20
PAT 18-20

Achiever
BIO 14-17
GC 14-17
OC 18-19
QR 15-21
RC 17-21
PAT 17-18

Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK for those who haven't taken DAT yet.

Thanks guys!
I am totally enjoying the rest of the summer..

Yes, the second passage of my RC was antibody.
I dont know how u felt about the passage but I thought it was so confusing..

I studied for about 2 months and half, from June to the middle of August.
I didnot take Kaplan course. Just used the white book and subject tests which I thought prepared me well for QR, gchem and ochem.

I was thinking of getting DAT destroyer after some people posted incredible scores on SDN using destroyer but it was too late to get it.( Also I didnot have budget for that either! 🙁

Heh, now I see how the male competition is being leveled, ::sighs:: well I guess now we know why there's so many women in dental school, lol, the poor guys probably can't even concentrate, the horror, right Kitman, remember that girl next to you during Qr that was typing away on your essay, wink, wink! When I'm taking my test, I'm going to specifically make sure the proctor seat me in an isolated corner so I don't get another 15 Qr!

Oh yeah, by the way, Congrats Kayo, you did it!!!!!! 🙂 This is the part where I ask you where you're gonna go & you'll be like, "you're going to Disneyworld" like you just won the superbowl

wow great scores kayo 🙂 I was wondering what kind of questions did you mostly get for G Chem??? My topscore scores in that are about like yours so maybe there is hope, lol.

You officially KILLED the gen chem section! Good work. Now keep the bra unhooked and relax.

Mack

Thanks!
I am just hoping schools will not weigh on RC scores!

For gchem, there were some questions in which you have to use PV=nRT just like on any practice exams. There were not tricky questions at all!

I am SOO enjoying the summer now.. needless to say, my bra's unhooked.
