finals over...relaxation
Started by dexadental
well from my research on SDN, i have found that people that relax during their winter break b4 taking the DAT would gain only average of 17-18. so if you are going to relax you are going to do terribly (i am sorry its a fact). so go relax 🙂
(just kidding- you should relax b/c next semster is going to be a tough one trying to do semster+school work 🙂

Well, they're not quite over for me yet.... I'm going right now to take my last one, Molecular Biology. Then it's relaxation 🙂 I keep telling myself, "All I need is a C!"

Finals are over. Pulled a 4.0 this semester, and just got my Kaplan materials in the mail for the DAT, is anyone else studying over this long winter break? God, I'm just going to relax I think.
Congratulations on the 4.0 - I think you should take a break too - you've earned it! 👍
Me too! Wahoo is right...dexadental said:Wahoo,

Good job by the way!
dexa, you sound just like me last year! studying the kaplan all over break. i didn't get an all-4.0 semester until the end of my junior year though. keep up the good work. my advice is take a few days off to relax now that the semester's over, then try to hit 40 pages or so of kaplan a day for the rest of break. good luck!! 🙂
I'm so thankful that finals are over. But I'm like you, I just got the Kaplan book for Christmas (early) so I will be studying over the break. The work is never done for an aspiring young dentist! 😀
Nice job on the 4.0!

hey guys,
Whoa just got back from VACATION! Boy did it feel good! Went to Disney World with the fam and saw the kennedy space center too...only three hours away from home though so not really a vacation but it was nice to get away for a few days. Hope everybody is enjoying their breaks, I know I am. Anyone know if you can use calculators on the DAT?

I think if people study for DAT early, it should be time spend sorting out and analyzing some of the diffiuclt concepts. Then, as the test nears, it is good to massively go through everything. What I mean is this. For example, if you study now, you may want to understand and sort through the osmosis concepts related to kidney, such as hypertonic, hypotonic, and isotonic. As the DAT nears, you may then try to remember the anatomy of the kidney, PCT, LOH, DCT, and CT. Studying early risk forgetting on the test day. Studying late risks not having the time to understand the material.

Nope, no calculators allowed. You shouldn't really need one anyway.
now that im living at home this year, the moment school was over a few days ago, I have been given so many chores and yelled at some many time for being "unproductive" 😛 I just want to be lazzzzzyyy!! well its off to clean my room... 😳

It's nice to be able to be lazy and indulge. Cleaning room is nice and relaxing too. Turn on some music. Allow the mind to freely associate. Reflect on the memories that are attached to the bits of mess that is lying around. Deciding what to throw away or keep. Ah. The days.
