I'm curious about the different perspectives on how to pay for medical school for an average white guy that DO NOT include the military as I am ineligible for that. There have to be some creative techniques out there for paying that can really decrease your debt, any advice, lifestyle tips, even sleazy techniques are all welcome. Just looking for accounts of your experiences or successes with how you are financing your medical education. thank you.

edit: I have all the online resources and stuff, looking to hear your experiences.

Loans.

Live with other people, carry tupperware around the hospital with you so you can take extra food home, learn how to cook with a crockpot, find a friend to do haircuts. Then continue living that way into residency and first few years as an attending to pay off those loans.

learn how to budget to reduce your debt burden. i suggest YNAB. its free for students

Roulette. Play the outside, picking numbers is a sucker's game.

Donate plasma, it can net a pretty good amount of money depending on the city you're in.

Disclaimer: Must be okay with huge needles and a tiny chance of hepatitis.

You could be a sperm donor and then you don't have to worry about needles or hepatitis.

Look, I'd like to pleasure myself for money as much as anybody but I actually looked it up at one point and their selective process is pretty rigorous. I think the only criteria I have a chance of filling is education, but I'm not tall and white enough. :|

huge net negative seeing as some courts are now ruling that sperm donators can be required to pay child support......

If you believe in yourself and try really really hard, you can do it!
